International Affairs Club

“Decorum, Delegates!” This common Model United Nations phrase both brings committee sessions to order and reminds delegates to behave in a way that reflects the dignity of their delegations. But for the delegates from the CSBSJU International Affairs (IA) Club, it is a simple reminder of our Benedictine Values. As we work with delegates from across the world to create solutions to global problems, we are called to treat others with respect, listen with the ear of our hearts, and prioritize peace as we advocate for global change.

The IA Club hones students’ passion for global affairs, problem solving, and improving the world. Our work culminates at the Harvard National Model United Nations Conference each February, where we learn first-hand what it takes to engage in diplomacy. To attend this prestigious conference, our student leaders rely on donor support to help students afford the costs of travel, lodging, and registration fees. However, our work extends beyond the conference as students return with a broader global perspective that they share with our campus communities.
